OHTECH | Ohio Supercomputer CenterAs a member of the Ohio Supercomputer Center’s (OSC) administrative team, the Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day office operations of the organization. OSC accelerates discovery for Ohio’s academic and commercial researchers by providing accessible, reliable and secure high performance computing power at a fraction of the cost of alternatives, along with expert consultation and secure storage.
Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a broad array of project management and administrative coordination in support of the strategic initiatives and outcomes of OSC. As a self-starter with the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy, the Business Operations Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the operational activities of OSC and serve as backup to the Administrative Manager. The Business Operations Coordinator works with general guidance to support and manage projects of moderate scope and complexity related to OSC initiatives, in addition to various day-to-day operational duties; gains a general understanding of technology topics to assist with projects; and works with the Administrative Manager and leadership team to identify and implement projects and related program elements.
Responsibilities of the Business Operations Coordinator include:
- Operations and Communications
- Generates and manages purchasing reports to aid in tracking as well as forecasting needs and expenses.
- Supports leadership team with hiring/onboarding/offboarding projects.
- Facilitates aspects of routing documents for execution (MOUs, client agreements, DocuSign).
- Initiates purchasing and travel actions in Workday, including requisitions, spend authorizations and expense reports.
- Establishes and implements repeatable processes for travel-related activities while serving as an OSC travel coordinator.
- Coordinates day-to-day operational duties (including but not limited to recurring meeting management, office supply management and ordering, calendar management, agenda planning, shipping).
- Interfaces and coordinates with OSC’s staff and client community, as well as key collaborators at the State of Ohio and The Ohio State University.
- Project Coordination/Management
- Supports and manages projects of moderate scope and complexity related to OSC initiatives.
- Works closely with the Administrative Manager to coordinate cross-organization collaborations and manages associated projects.
- Supports sponsored program/grants deliverables and meeting coordination.
- Prepares reports for the leadership team and tracks metrics, which includes assisting with compiling reports for impact metrics.
- Manages program requirements for external meeting support, including hosting kickoff meeting, program support and day of coordination with OH-TECH partners.
- Program/Event Support
- Manages logistics and administrative functions for various community and educational activities.
- Supports Administrative Manager with administrative and operational functions for the planning and execution of OSC’s STEM Institute programs. Serves as the day-of/on-site lead point-of-contact for event logistics, ensuring smooth event execution
