The Medical Oncology Department at Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) is actively seeking qualified individuals to join its Gastrointestinal Cancer program as a GI medical oncologist. As part of an NCI-comprehensive cancer center renowned for its excellence in cancer biology and care, the Department of Medical Oncology, Division of Solid Tumor, invites applications from Board Eligible/Board Certified individuals who have demonstrated interest and expertise in gastrointestinal oncology.Job Description
Successful candidates should exhibit a strong commitment to academic medicine, including research, education, and clinical excellence. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities will include providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Engaging in academic activities, including research, scholarly pursuits, and participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards. Mentoring and supervising residents, fellows, and medical students, fostering their growth and development in the field of oncology. Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, clinical trials, and other institutional endeavors aimed at advancing cancer care.
