About Farmgirl Flowers
At Farmgirl Flowers, we’re on a mission to deliver joy through thoughtfully designed flower arrangements that are anything but ordinary. We’re a bootstrapped, female-founded and predominantly female-run, and values-driven company that believes in hard work, creativity, and doing the right thing—even when it’s the hard thing. If you love rolling up your sleeves, leading by example, and thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, you might be a great fit to join our team!
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day (and sometimes night-to-night) magic behind the flowers. In this role, you’ll be a key player in keeping our production, fulfillment, and logistics humming along smoothly. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations and collaborate with teams across the U.S. and South America to ensure every bouquet (or realistically, as many as humanly possible!) arrives on time and up to our high standards.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This role is in person - you won’t convince us otherwise, so please don’t try! ;) - and comes with longer hours and a “whatever-it-takes” attitude during peak floral holidays. These holidays include Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. PTO blackout periods apply around these holidays so we can deliver the best for our customers when it matters most. The whole team steps up during these periods — and that includes the leadership!
What You’ll Do
Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of customer orders and troubleshooting issues for our network of farm and fulfillment partners (perishables + high-touch distribution = never a dull moment!).
Monitor workflow, staffing, and throughput to keep operations efficient, accurate, and running smoothly.
Troubleshoot in real time and implement longer-term process improvements—working cross-functionally with internal teams to strengthen systems and operations.
Oversee inventory across multiple facilities in North and South America, ensuring it’s ordered, tracked, stored, and used accurately and efficiently.
Manage relationships, performance, and spend with transportation partners to ensure reliable, cost-effective delivery that meets our standards and budget.
Work closely with the Head of Operations to identify and onboard new distribution partners, making sure they align with our quality standards, brand values, and operational needs. You’ll be responsible for setting them up for success—from initial training to ongoing support—and will travel as needed (up to 20% of the year) to be hands-on during launch phases and critical touchpoints.
Collaborate with the Head of Operations on forecasting, production schedules, and budget planning to ensure smooth, scalable growth.
Coordinate with distribution partners on all things logistics—shipping, receiving, inventory, printing, and supply chain—while actively managing product quality, substitutions, and vendor accountability.
Support the setup and ongoing management of our new Gig Harbor facility, overseeing day-to-day operations and helping build a best-in-class distribution hub from the ground up.
Track and report key operational metrics (think: order fulfillment accuracy, delivery performance, inventory turnover, and cost per stem) to help inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Jump in to lead one-off projects as they come up—whether it’s pulling off a press event, bringing a brand partnership to life, refreshing signage, or solving a one-time ops puzzle. No two days are the same here, so we’re looking for someone who can roll with it and make things happen.
Pitch in wherever needed—packing orders, scrubbing buckets, cleaning, leading floor teams, solving last-minute hiccups—you name it. This role requires a “see it, do it” mindset, so we’re looking for someone who’s willing and able to jump in without being asked—and always with a positive attitude.
What You Bring
3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or production. If it’s in e-comm, food, floral, or another fast-paced, hands-on industry—even better.
A roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done attitude. You’re a doer, a fixer, and a problem-solver who doesn’t wait around for someone else to notice what needs doing.
Experience leading teams in a warehouse or production environment—and the ability to keep everyone motivated and moving in the same dire
