The opportunity

 

Ernst & Young LLP's (EY) US Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice is a robust and emerging practice with tremendous potential for growth - and we are prepared to tap into that potential. Our US GPS practice combines an understanding of the public sector's diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services, with private sector leading practices. We respond to our client's issues by bringing together highly skilled professionals across Consulting, Assurance, Tax and Strategy and Transactions services. This integrated approach facilitates multidimensional support and flexibility to meet our clients changing needs.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

We'll look to you to interact directly with the customer, stakeholders, and subject matter resources to coordinate, validate and socialize in one or more areas of technology delivery. You will be responsible for tasks ranging from hands-on scripting, configuration and application development in ServiceNow to client relationship building, presentation, and requirements refinement. Your responsibilities will also include managing, assessing and implementing changes collaboratively with your teams and clients. You can expect to help our clients with technology-enabled transformation to achieve their business objectives. We're also looking for you to act as a role model for EY's core values and maintain and to expand client relationships through the delivery of high-quality work. This will include acting as a mentor and coach for junior team members.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

• Experience with scripting, custom ServiceNow application development, and scoped applications
• Experience with ServiceNow project execution and responsibilities
• Core Application development using ServiceNow AppEngine
• Overseeing application and workflow configuration
• Developing client-specific reporting processes and integration components
• Working closely with ServiceNow technical teams (e.g., platform administration)
• Providing trusted advice on how digital transformation and technology enablement can lead to improved performance

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or similar discipline; supported by experience in a similar technical environment
• 5+ years of ServiceNow technical implementation experience
• Experience supporting large scale ServiceNow engagements or complex IT engagements
• A customer-focused approach to work, and the ability support in the development of digital platform strategies
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirements.

 

Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office.  In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel on average 25% to 30% or more in a hybrid environment.
