The Finance Team at LILT

The Finance and Accounting Team is remote but all on the East Coast. The team is led by our CFO and includes the Controller, Sr Accountant and Sr FP&A Manager. The team works closely together to complete day-to-day and month-end close responsibilities. The team thrives on continuous improvement of processes and efficiencies.

Where You’ll Work

This position will be based out of our Indianapolis, IN office and will be expected to work in the office in a hybrid capacity.

Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.

What You’ll Do

LILT is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and be a key contributor to the establishment of the function and growth of the team.

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing accounting related systems, improving processes, and timely, accurate financial reporting.  You’ll need the ability to multi-task and toggle between details and the big picture. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the general ledger and data underlying the financial statements

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including international consolidations 

  • Participant in the order-to-cash process by ensuring all customers are invoiced in a timely manner, cash collections are appropriately applied, revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP, and deferred revenue and A/R are reconciled

  • Implement accounting-related systems and develop process improvements to automate accounting in Netsuite and other systems

  • Manage the accounts payable function and ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor bills in Bill.com and other platforms; process wire payments to vendors

  • Review employee expense reports (including corporate credit cards) for compliance with our travel and expense policy and manage the expense reporting system (Rippling)

  • Reconcile all bank statements monthly and ensure all bank activity is timely and accurately recorded

  • Identify and track fixed assets and manage the fixed asset subledger and depreciation

  • Assess and track accruals and prepaid expenses as necessary

  • Assist in the documentation and implementation of processes to ensure excellent internal controls

  • Support the audit process domestically and internationally

  • Support tax filings

  • Assist with ad-hoc financial information requests from Executive Management and other departments

  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing various accounting tasks beyond the typical duties of the role in order to support the team's success. 

Skills and Experience:

  • 5-8 years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years at a Big Four firm and 2-3 years on an accounting team preferred

  • Start-up experience a plus

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related degree and CPA preferred

  • Systems implementation

  • Strong Netsuite ERP experience preferred
