About the role

We are looking for an experienced audit professional to raise our high-bar and help transform the Internal Audit function. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a true agent of change, with a relentless focus on continuous improvement. We are looking for a professional practices thought leader.

Key job responsibilities
• Setting, monitoring, and raising the bar on professional practices and owning the standards & quality audit framework and departmental training and development.
• Authoring, maintaining and communicating audit professional practice standards and quality, leveraging different forms of communication to reinforce messages and tailored to different audiences
• Working with key Internal Audit leaders and cross-functional teams to cultivate and implement ideas that make Internal Audit more impactful
• Driving adoption of tools and methods across audit teams. You are accountable to ensure professional standards are met.
• Crafting and maintaining strategy documents, executive updates, business requirements, project status updates, and operating procedures.
• Develop and execute a multi-year plan to transform how audit executes. You are setting the quality standard for the next generation of auditors.
• Management of a team of risk and program managers executing on programs to drive quality and operational efficiency.
• Manage external requests and required reporting for internal audit activities (e.g., regulator inquires and exam, legal entity reporting requirements, business licensing applications, customer audit requests, etc)

• Demonstrate high judgement, clear communication and deliver results.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, and partner with cross functional teams.
• Be a key interface and partner across all org levels earning the trust of the global audit team and leading through influence.
• Coach and mentor audit team members, identify training needs, increase awareness of the business and risks, and stay current with professional practice changes and internal auditing best practices.
• Exhibit a bias for action and a passion for operational excellence, driving continuous improvement to our processes and standards.


About the team
The vision of the Strategic Initiatives team is to drive initiatives which fundamentally change the way auditing is done today. By optimizing our processes and leaning into technology, we will be more proactive in predicting risk and more efficient in audit selection and execution.

Basic Qualifications


• BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or related field
• 8+ years of experience with auditing, risk management, compliance, program management or quality management systems.
• Experience in change management in complex organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong internal audit and risk management experience, including: performing assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
• Demonstrated ability to effectively drive collaboration
• Results-oriented – ability to motivate, influence, and manage diverse teams
• Track record of successful program management for large, cross functional projects, including rolling out both process and technology-based improvements
• Experience managing teams
• Comfortable leading through influence with other teams to drive change
• Experience working with regulators or external auditing entities
• Experience managing Learning and Development programs.
• Exceptional organizational and project-management skills
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize, summarize and communicate important data
• Big 4 accounting or consulting firm experience
• Experience with process improvement, Kaizen, and six sigma.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,000/year in our highest geographic market.
