Compensation: $35-$45/hr
Position Summary
The Women’s design department is looking for a freelance women’s technical design candidate, to help support the team. This candidate must come equipped with technical knowledge and experience and come with accountability, reliability and adaptability. The candidate for this role must have strong organizational and time management skills. This role is purely to support the technical design department within Women’s temporarily.
Responsibilities:
● Support the technical design department for Women’s,
● Spec garments for bi-weekly fittings
● Steam, document and upload specs and update the bi-weekly fit agenda document, based on product category responsibility, for each fitting.
● Process comments post fittings for both development and production, reviewing with each respective tech designer prior to releasing to factories overseas
● Request patterns as needed and as directed from tech design, from factories
● Collaborate and coordinate bi-weekly fittings with the other women’s technical designer
● Maintain collaborative partnership and clear communication, cross departmentally with design, production and development
● Build tech pack files and folders, with reference images, sketching construction images if needed, and building out construction pages to be uploaded to our development platform
● Build point of measure pages for styles, as needed
● Build grade specs, for respective product categories, in production, as needed ● Manage and organize fit rail daily, and as needed by tech design
Qualifications:
● 3-5 years Technical Design experience
● Associate or Bachelor’s degree in technical design preferred
● Equipped with technical knowledge across all product categories, wovens, cut & sew and sweaters
● Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Google docs, Google sheets
● Experienced in using PLM adjacent platforms
● Ability to correct and balance garments in respective product categories as needed
● Professional mannerism and maturity
● Excellent communication and strong organizational skills
