Production Scheduler & Planner

Responsible for planning and scheduling production activities by coordinating with Sales, Production, Purchasing, QA, and Customer Service to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order fulfillment. Prepares forecasts and production documentation to support operational accuracy and material readiness.

- Collaborate with the sales team to align production schedules with customer forecasts and adjust capacity planning accordingly.
- Partner with the production team to optimize order scheduling, ensuring efficient workflow and maximizing productivity.
- Coordinates with purchasing to secure the timely availability of materials necessary to meet production timelines.
- Works closely with quality assurance and line managers to schedule sample runs, ensuring production meets the required specifications.
- Communicate with customer service to manage order changes and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Forecasts monthly production volumes based on current schedules and customer demand.
- Prepares and distributes job packets and pallet tags for scheduled production orders.
- Supports the purchasing manager in ordering aluminum and other raw materials.
DEVELOPMENTAL SKILLS
To perform this role successfully, the individual must have strong scheduling and inventory knowledge, along with effective communication, time management, and organizational skills, which are essential to meeting key responsibilities.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To successfully perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to understand spreadsheets, including Excel. Working knowledge of AS400 and scheduling tools. Preactor, OpCenter preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED. Five (5) years of experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
