About this role

As a Skilled Trades Worker II, your role:

  • Maintain, install, and repair various electrical systems including building electrical systems, exterior property lighting, sports lighting and controls, and small liquid pumping systems and controls.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to your peers.
  • Ability to operate a bucket truck or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
  • Initiate material lists, solicit cost estimates, and oversee the delivery of parts and materials to the storeroom(s) or job sites.
  • Operation and repair of electrical equipment associated with mid-level to large commercial/public facilities.

As a Skilled Trades Worker III, your role:

  • Job duties of a Skilled Trades Worker II.
  • Mentor, guide, and assist the Skilled Trade Worker I & II, Trades Workers, and Attendants.

Work Hours:  Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  *On-Call Required.

About You:

Minimum Qualifications:  

Skilled Trades Worker II: Starting Pay Range: $21.54 (step 1) - $23.54 (step 4), depending on experience/qualifications.

  • A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience, education, training, or any combination of experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical trade in facility service and maintenance. 
  • A valid Florida Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Skilled Trades Worker III: Starting Pay Range: $23.76 (step 1), potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.

  • A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Six (6) years of experience, education, training, or any combination of experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical trade in facility service and maintenance. 
  • A valid Florida Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Physical Demands:  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

CJIS Clearance: The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.
