What you Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is in the middle of a significant ramp up in the aftermarket business including demand for legacy and GTF repair capacity and capability. The candidate filling this role will discover an exciting opportunity as we retool and shape the future of the Repair Process Support team and our function. We are redefining how the RPS team works in order to advance the aftermarket repair business during a time of unique visibility and potential. We are looking for an influential leader with a desire to collaborate and grow a broad learning organization that can contribute to advancing MRO capabilities, improve operations output and result in sustained value to the P&W business.
Work schedule: On-site, at our East Harford, CT campus, and at AMO repair facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Chiefs and SMEs in managing a process for Repair Process Engineers (RPEs) to follow for repair development, maintenance, or task revisions through the use of standard work (RPSW) flows, documents, templates, and Gated Repair Process Reviews in an aftermarket business and Aftermarket Manuals.
- Assist in creating, and use, standard work processes to ensure on-going and transitioned repairs (within the global network) are executed in a structured, disciplined manner to industry best practice.
- Delegated owner of P&W L2/L3 procedures for RPSW (PW 7.4.1, 7.4.2), delegated from AMO VP
- Conduct site health reviews at global P&W AMO repair sites, following health assessment standard work and management expectations; build trust and understanding with AMO repair sites; and align shop health to capable operations and adherence to standards and procedures.
- Lead and manage RPS resources contributing to RPSW work scope, including outsourcing resources
- Actively participate in Repair Readiness passport reviews (R2/R4) to ensure smooth transition and rapid implementation of new repairs into production.
- Help identify and support strategic and tactical projects relating to repair and coating processes; process improvement in yield, TAT or cost.
- Actively engage with relevant Process Councils consisting of members from shops across the P&W network. Take initiative to promote consistency across the network, share best practices, identify and execute needed changes to RPSW with repair site input and buy-in.
- Work with Chiefs and Discipline SMEs to develop training curriculum and process-specific course work to perform practitioner training to grow and improve capable practitioners for the betterment of the shops.
- Facilitate incorporation of new repair technologies and methods, including direct participation in select technology development projects and identification of technology opportunities.
- Assist in addressing critical issues related to repair site processes, as needed. Support continuous improvement in the shops.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 10 years of engineering experience or 7 years with an advanced degree
- U.S. Person/Green Card holder
