Boeing Global Services is looking for a KC-46 Maintenance Mod and Repair Manager to lead the Operations Team for the modification of the KC-46 at Boeing's newest state of the art facility in Jacksonville, FL .
The Boeing KC-46 Pegasus is an American military aerial refueling and strategic military transport aircraft developed by Boeing from its 767 jet airliner. The tanker was selected by the United States Air Force (USAF) as the winner in the KC-X tanker competition to replace older Boeing KC-135. This Remote Vision System upgrade will use a series of sensors, screens and 4k ultrahigh-definition cameras to allow the KC-46′s boom operators a 3D, full-color picture as they guide refueling booms into receiving aircraft. Position is located in Jacksonville, FL.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Position Responsibilities:

• This management position is planned to be an Operations Manager sharing the responsibility for the installation of the KC-46 Remote Vision System 2.0 Upgrade / Modification and future work awarded to the KC-46 at the Boeing Jacksonville site.

• Individual will manage salary and hourly technicians and support personnel performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.

• Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies, procedures, goals and objectives.

• Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

• Manages, develops and motivates salary and hourly technicians and support personnel.

• Responsible for adherence to and oversite of established processes, accurate and timely work recording and contractual/regulatory compliance.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/ or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience working with maintenance and modifications

• 1+ years of experience working with the KC46 Tanker program

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role

• Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

• Currently have or are willing to obtain an FAA A&P License (within 18 months)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• A current and valid certificated FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P)

• Experience with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and/or Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) customer

• 5+ years of experience working with Government customers

• 5+ years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment
