At Deep 6 AI, we are on a mission to revolutionize healthcare’s clinical trials process through innovativeAI and ML) solutions.  Our software mines real-time clinical data to precision-match patients to clinical trials. Our current AI and ML solutions are achieving results more efficiently than ever before. 
We are looking for a Head of Data/AI to spearhead the continued development and application of cutting-edgeAI andMLwithin our platform. This is both avisionary and hands-on role. 
This role presents an opportunity for an exceptional hands-on AI-ML data professional to help build upon a team of data engineers, data scientists, and MLengineers, to drive the strategic direction of our AI initiatives. As theHead of Data/AI, you will work closely with stakeholders to continuously innovate our platform, ensuring that it stays ahead of the curve in accelerating clinical trials. You willdo so via enhancements to our data comprehension pipeline and search tools,using state-of-the-artAI and ML techniques. One of the largest sets of rich, unstructured clinical data will be at your fingertipsproviding you the opportunity to chart the team's future course.

You will lead the development of innovative, AI-powered features andfunctionalities. You will establish key performance metrics to track the team’s impact, while fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders,gatheringfeedback, and driving continuous improvement. What You'll Do

• Lead the enhancement of our data comprehension pipeline and search tools, particularly via AI/ML techniques wherepragmatic. 
• Drive the development of AI-powered features and functionalities to enrich our product suite. 
• Leverage advanced AI/ML techniques to push the boundaries of what is possible in clinical trials acceleration. 
• Establish and maintain key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of AI/ML initiatives. 
• Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement. 
• Enhance Deep 6 AI's reputation as a leader in AI-driven clinical trials acceleration through thought leadership and industry recognition. 

About You

• Strong player-coach mentality, with an ability to balance the hands-on needs of leading two groups: data platform (data engineering) and search/enrichment (ML engineering). 
• Proven record of accomplishment, leading successful Data/AI/ML initiatives within a product-focused environment. 
• Strong background in applied machine learning, with hands-on experience developing and deploying production-ready models. 
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and data product development 
• Understanding ofinnovative AI techniques like large language models (LLMs), self-learning models (SLMs), and other state-of-the-art approaches. 
• Conceptual understanding of streaming data ingestion and ETL processes 
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure (e.g.,PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLOps platforms). 
• Experience with database technologies, especially Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, and DynamoDB. 
• Demonstrated passion for staying up to date with the latest AI/ML research and trends, along with a record of accomplishment of driving innovation. 
• Commitment to responsible AI principles, with an ability to navigate ethical considerations around application ofAI to sensitive data.  
• Bonus points for experience working with healthcare data, especially HL7 and FHIR.
