About the role

The Weave Corporate Strategy team is integral in helping Weave C-Team & VP leadership identify external growth opportunities, internal business improvements, & oversees major cross-functional initiatives

The Strategy team focuses on 4 key areas: (1) Develop Weave’s Strategic Plan, (2) Identify & Launch into New Markets, (3) Run “BizOps” efforts focused on improving internal operations, (4) M&A.

  • This position will be hybrid (remote + in-office)
  • Reports to: Director of Strategy 

What You Will Own (Responsibilities)

  • (1) Manage execution of major company cross-functional projects and initiatives
      • Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
      • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
      • Develop and implement methods for tracking key project metrics (KPIs, Cost, Resources, Progress Status, Owner, Due Dates, etc) 
      • Ensure major projects run on-time and within budget
      • Provide regular updates to leadership & project members on progress. Ensure that all stakeholders are consistently on the same page
  • (2) Lead post M&A integration efforts (IMO)
      • In the event of a merger or acquisition, spearhead the integration of the new organization into Weave. Ensure that integration runs smoothly & provides long term value to Weave
      • Develop a comprehensive M&A integration “playbook” for all future M&A activity
      • Communicate all major IMO updates, risks, and progress to executive team
  • (3) Establish Program/Project Management Function at Weave
      • Be the head of the “PMO guild” at the company
      • Establish best practices & tools for program/project management across company departments. Train Weave employees & leaders in these practices/tools.
  • (4) Run key company leadership meetings
    • Assist C-Team executives in running highly organized & effective company meetings including:
      • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
      • Weekly “Vital Signs” meetings (reporting on key company KPIs)
      • 2023 Strategy metrics meeting (reporting on key company OKRs)
      • 2023 Strategy Focus Area Key Projects (reporting on key initiatives) 
    • Present executive level presentations, reports, and other content as needed

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job (minimum qualifications- education, experience, certifications, skills)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance, or related fields 
  • 7-9 years of experience in program / project management, management consulting, or related field
  • MBA (preferred, not required)
  • Prior experience in leading post M&A merger integrations
  • PMI / PMP Certification (preferred)
  • High degree of experience with project management methodologies & frameworks
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, G-Suite, Jira, etc

  • “What’s Best for Weave” mindset. Needs to be skilled in navigating competing interests from various stakeholders and diplomatically resolving issues
  • Able to break complex problems & projects down into manageable “easy to understand” parts
  • Familiarity with SaaS, specifically SMB B2B software licensing, deployment, management, and administration (from both the provider and customer POV)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, and under both strict and changing deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
