About the role

BoomPop is expanding to support our growth by adding a high-performing Accounts Payable Manager to the team! Reporting to our Senior Manager of Accounting, you will lead and develop all aspects of payables and payments to ensure healthy cash flow. This role will require strong communication and organizational skills to ensure an excellent vendor experience. This could be the ideal position for you if you are a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with high standards and a talent for all things payables. As the Accounts Payable Manager at BoomPop, you will play a critical role in supporting our growth by managing high volumes of payments, ensuring accurate invoice coding, and maintaining healthy cash flow through effective payables practices.

What you'll do

• Perform the entire accounts payable process, from invoice data entry to electronic payment processing
• Daily management of the accounts payable email
• Ensure all invoices have the necessary documentation and approvals before processing payments
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct any discrepancies
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and account reconciliations
• Maintain thorough and accurate files and documentation, following company policies and accepted accounting practices
• Support other projects as needed

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of recent and relevant experience
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and accounting operations
• Experience in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent field
• NetSuite Experience

Occasional Travel: Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 3-4 nights of travel per quarter for this role.
