The work
The SAP Functional Lead is responsible for leading the complex business and system analysis, design, and testing. Responsibilities include leading and coordinating functional team activities, providing guidance and direction to the functional team to ensure alignment with project goals, and overseeing the implementation of SAP solutions to ensure they meet business requirements. The role collaborates with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within teams. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring adherence to Accenture delivery methodology, facilitating communication between teams, mentoring and developing team members, and staying informed about SAP updates and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:

- Ensure adherence to Accenture delivery methodology, promoting efficient and effective project delivery
- Facilitate communication between teams, fostering a cohesive working environment
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting skill growth and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed about SAP updates and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement
Here’s what you need:
- Extensive experience in SAP project management, demonstrating a deep understanding of SAP solutions and their implementation
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple teams in a fast‑paced environment
- In‑depth knowledge of Accenture delivery methodologies and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management
- Ability to align SAP project goals with broader business objectives, ensuring strategic alignment
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation within SAP project teams
- Familiarity with SAP tools and technologies, as well as a commitment to staying updated on industry trends
Eligibility requirements:
- US Citizen (no duals)
- Ability to obtain a client Public Trust government clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
