Purpose: 

To profitably direct and administer the growth, sales, service, and operations of branches within the region in a manner that assures retention of existing members, a net increase in the number of members per branch, migration of households to higher profitability.

AVP Retail Services Responsibilities:

• Creates a sales performance climate, formulates sales goals, and directs the performance of Team Members within the Region to achieve established sales goals.
• Coaches Branch Managers to ensure that all branch Team Members achieve performance objectives.
• Consistently demonstrates a courteous, tactful and professional approach in dealing with members and internal customers in accordance with established customer service standards. Demonstrates concern and respect for others in all interactions and inspires their confidence and trust.
• Responds to member concerns received over the phone, by mail and through member surveys; reports the results to the appropriate Branch Manager(s) and the Senior Vice President of Retail Services to resolve operational issues that impede effective member service satisfaction and better retain member relationships.
• Develops and coaches Team Members to ensure their thorough knowledge of SCCU products, services, policies and procedures, and monitors service levels to ensure that Team Members consistently meets or exceeds quality member service expectations.
• Disseminates SCCU policies, procedures, and announcements to branch Team Members in a timely manner and conducts regular and recurring meetings with branch managers in order to build an effective communication flow.
• Works with other AVP’s of Retail Service to ensure the consistency and quality of communication flow within the branch network. Cross functional collaboration with all AVPs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Provides timely, direct feedback and information to individuals to enable them to make accurate, informed decisions. Demonstrates effective face-to-face communications, telephone interactions, and written communications.  Articulates ideas and writes reports, technical materials, and correspondence in a clear, concise manner.
• Supports Senior Vice President in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to drive the growth and profitability.
• Ensures that branches within the region follow prescribed operational and security procedures and implement appropriate controls over all branch activities in order to provide security for members and. Team Members.
• Ensures that branches within the region complete required reports and route to the appropriate entity in a timely manner to assure effective internal controls, operational procedures, and information flow.
• Conducts quarterly Branch Internal Control Inspections for each SCCU branch, completes the appropriate report, and routes to Branch Managers to ensure that each branch meets SCCU image standards and achieves operational compliance.
• Analyzes branch profitability and recommends appropriate actions with regards to staffing levels or continued viability of branch.
• Prepares annual budget projections for the branches within the region and operates within its guidelines and monitors business unit’s performance in order to operate
