Job Description
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), the consulting arm of Visa, is a global team of industry experts in strategy, marketing, operations, risk and digital consulting, with decades of experience in the payments industry. Our VCA teams offers:
- Consulting services customized to the needs of Visa client’s business objectives and strategy
- Digital solutions Visa clients can leverage to improve performance in product, marketing and operations
- Proven data-driven marketing strategies to increase client ROI
The VCA team is looking for a senior professional to lead our authorizations service line and develop high-impact projects for Visa’s clients in the North America region. This role reports to the Head of the Risk Practice for VCA in North America.
The potential candidate will be responsible for delivering and implementing projects and solutions with financial institutions, acquirers, merchants, processors, and fintechs. This person will build upon a solid foundation of proven capabilities and expertise to expand the scale, scope, and value of client engagements as it relates to authorization optimization and similar topics.
To deliver on the needs of the position, successful candidates will bring a combination of key skills and experiences, including:
- A background in consulting or professional services with significant client-facing experience
- Knowledge of authorizations and fraud controls within the payment card industry, as gained through 5-10+ years working at a payment network, financial institution, or similar entity
- Collaborative team-builder who can effectively lead geographically dispersed teams and coordinate across multiple levels of the organization while delivering client engagements on-time and on-budget
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Proactively engage Visa leaders in regular strategic & planning discussions, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work in collaboration with practice leader and assigned staff
- Manage a team of direct reports and model the Visa Leadership Principles in daily interactions
- Oversee consulting initiatives and contribute to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities
- Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges
- Build solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their card portfolios and customer engagement in their core business
- Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., sales, marketing, sales, risk, innovation, client services) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa resources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with groups outside of VCA to ensure client delivery incorporates a true, One Visa mindset
- Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the product categories and segments
- Effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings, insights and recommendations for clients
- Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA
- Manage 3rd-party vendor relationships (scoping projects, invoice approvals, and quality control)

Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
