Your Career 

The Public Sector Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the development of proposal responses to the U.S. Public Sector RFX’s, Unsolicited Proposals, Sources Sought and White Papers. Responsible for leading and collaborating with matrixed, cross functional teams to develop technical content / proposals. Ensure that proposals are compliant with requirements, complete, and compelling.

We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

Your Impact 

  • Collaborate and partner  with Capture Product Managers, Sales Engineering, Sales operations, Legal and  other resources to develop compelling proposal responses for complex opps
  • You will develop all proposal response materials including proposal outline, compliance matrix, proposal management plan, proposal kick-off meeting materials, writing templates and plans and desk-top publishing (DTP) of the final response
  • Write, edit, proof, organize, format (DTP) and produce proposals to enhance business development
  • Ensure win themes, differentiators are included in the proposal and deliver a compelling response to the customer or partner 
  • Collaborate with the pursuit team in developing and substantiating a winning value proposition  
  • Develop reusable and boilerplate content 
  • Leverage AI applications to develop content
  • Develop timelines and ensure that  key deal milestones and deadlines are met. 
  • Be an integral part of growing Palo Alto Networks 

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Proven success within the Federal Market delivering compliant, compelling proposal responses to government customers and channel partners
  • Ability to deconstruct requirements and develop compliance matrix, 
  • Understanding of  Federal Certifications, including certifications such as  FedRamp and IL4/IL5 accreditations
  • Strong business and IT modernization acumen including Cyber Security, Networking,and Artificial Intelligence

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven ability to articulate and write compelling, business-outcome focused, value propositions
  • Operate independently to develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, proposal schedules, and provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workplace and Adobe
  • Proven Success in a partner driven environment (FSI/VAR/DISTI)
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams
  • Simplicity - must be able to make complex issues easy to understand
  • US Government Security Clearance is desired
