About This Role 

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our highly skilled and autonomous team, working on critical backend components of our product. Our team is distributed across Portugal and Spain and operates with a high level of maturity, self-organization, and innovation. Here, every team member makes a difference, and we ensure that no one is left behind!

As part of this role, you will work extensively on the backend of our product, covering areas such as installation and configuration, code generation and compilation, and application execution. What You Will Lead/Do or Key Responsibilities 

• Design and develop solutions with a high level of autonomy, following best development practices (e.g., TDD, BDD, code reviews).

• Optimize the performance of the platform components you’ll work on.

• Write and test code in short development cycles with a high degree of automation.

• Gather feedback from end-users and adapt your solutions accordingly.

• Build maintainable solutions that scale to thousands of users.

• Support and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

• Contribute to the design and communication of high-level functional architectures.

Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3 - 8 years of software development experience.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C# (preferred), Java, or Python.

• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle - valued).

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for analyzing and designing elegant solutions.

• Good communication skills and fluency in English.

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices development.

• Knowledge of continuous delivery and testing techniques.

• Passion for innovation and bringing development best practices into the team.
