Senior QA Engineer (f/m/d)

You’ll be a dedicated tester within one of our four engineering teams, working side by side with engineers, product managers, and other QA colleagues.</p> <p>While embedded in a specific team, you’ll also collaborate across QA to keep a holistic view of the product and jump in where needed to help qualify releases across JOIN. Your mission: help us ship features to production smoothly, without major issues, and continuously raise the bar for quality across the organisation.</p> <p>We care deeply about testing culture and invest in both manual and automated approaches to make sure our processes are fast, repeatable, and reliable.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Design and execute test plans for web-based features and APIs</li> <li>Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using issue tracking tools</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria</li> <li>Perform manual and automated testing to ensure functionality across browsers and devices</li> <li>Contribute to the development of automated test suites for regression and smoke testing</li> <li>Ensure adherence to quality standards across the development lifecycle</li> <li>Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA sign-off processes</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer</li> <li>Minimum 2+ years working on SaaS applications</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>Strong understanding of testing methodologies: black box, white box, functional, regression, and usability testing</li> <li>Hands-on experience testing modern web applications in an Agile environment</li> <li>Familiarity with test automation tools, ideally Playwright (or Cypress)</li> <li>Good understanding of browser dev tools, HTTP, and basic API testing (e.g. Postman)</li> <li>Strong analytical and documentation skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid/remote setting</li> <li>Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with automated test pipelines (CI/CD)</li> <li>Familiarity with Git-based workflows</li> <li>Exposure to performance and load testing tools</li> <li>Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira and Testrail</li> </ul> <h2 id="benefits">Benefits</h2> <ul> <li><strong>A competitive salary</strong>, tailored to align with your experience level.</li> <li>Join our dynamic team in a flexible tech environment, with your choice of Macbook Pro or Lenovo, and enjoy ergonomic support with stand-up desks to boost productivity and well-being.</li> <li>Experience an inspiring, diverse, and international work atmosphere</li> <li>Work in our design office located in the famous Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg, in the heart of Berlin!</li> <li>Relocation support.</li> <li>Regular team events, company events, breakfast or lunch sponsored by the company</li> <li>Enjoy flexibility with our hybrid work approach (3 days in the office / 2 from home): You'll receive an annual mobility budget of €600 for either NAVIT or a Deutschland Card.</li> <li>You'll receive an annual benefits budget of €600 and can enjoy the perks from 35 premium partners.</li> <li>Work from Anywhere: After your probationary period, you can work from anywhere or from home for up to 104 days per year.</li> </ul> <p>We welcome applications from individuals of all ages, abilities, genders, religions and diverse backgrounds.
