We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead planning, scheduling, and material readiness for our MRO operations. The successful candidate will manage a team of planners/schedulers and kiters, partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer Support, and drive continuous improvement across planning processes.

What You’ll do:

Planning & Scheduling

  • Lead the development and execution of detailed repair/overhaul workscopes for engines, modules, and components.
  • Own the master production schedule, ensuring staffing, materials, tooling, and work instructions are aligned with customer commitments.
  • Forecast shop capacity and plan workloads to meet delivery, TAT, and revenue targets.

Material & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Ensure material availability across all repair events, including long-lead items.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to resolve shortages, expedite vendor repairs, and manage supplier constraints.
  • Approve material planning strategies, reorder points, and MRP settings to support operational efficiency.
  • Manage kitting processes in partnership with the materials team.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings to ensure alignment on priorities, risks, customer needs, and schedule changes.
  • Provide regular progress updates and performance metrics to leadership and internal teams.
  • Manage customer communication related to schedule updates, material impacts, and critical path items.
  • Partner with Finance Team in Revenue and EBITA tracking and progress.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of planners, schedulers and kiters.
  • Establish planning best practices, standard work, and process documentation.
  • Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce TAT, improve material readiness, and support on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve technical or configuration issues that impact planning.
  • Drive data-based decision-making through KPIs and analytics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of planning, scheduling, or project management experience in an MRO, aerospace, aviation, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Deep knowledge of repair/overhaul processes for engines, components, or aerospace products demonstrated through 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, demonstrated through 7+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or equivalent regulated environment.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, continuous improvement methodologies, or project management certifications (PMP, CPIM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with engine configuration tracking, LLP management, and technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: 

$120,000 - $135,000
