Job Description:

• Providing help in research plot preparation, planting, maintaining, and harvesting.
• Operating a variety of farm equipment for land preparation, planting, and maintenance.
• Responsible for managing irrigation in our research plots and greenhouses.
• Monitoring soil moisture and irrigation function, and after consultation, making necessary changes.
• Troubleshooting the systems on a weekly basis and making repairs as needed.
• Other additional duties as needed and outlined by the supervisor.

Expected Salary:

$16.00 per hour (40 hours a week)

Required Qualifications:

None.

Preferred:

• Tractor operation
• Familiarity with farm equipment
• Drip irrigation setup and maintenance
• Experience with vegetable crops
• Greenhouse and field spraying experience
• Florida Pesticide License preferred
