SCOPE OF WORK: Provides technical and administrative support within an academic student support center with responsibility for assisting with services and providing information to students (e.g, information on course pre-requisites, schedules, and options; placement testing procedures and results; accommodations and supports available to students; etc.). Collects, maintains and provides information, data, calendars, standard reports, etc. May provide specialized support to select student populations (ELL, international). May schedule and proctor tests. May oversee Peer Advisors. May assist with the scheduling and coordination of tutors. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs and will work collaboratively with the Lebanon Academic Center Supervisor.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Maintains open and frequent communication with students through newsletters, telephone contact, email, meetings, etc.
- Assists students in meeting their academic goals by providing one-one coaching, helping them better utilize college resources such as academic technology (Canvas, Zoom, etc.), student life (SGA, PTK, etc.), and holistic services (food pantry, student assistance program, etc.).
- Informs students of and makes referrals to academic support and other available resources on campus; works with the ACT Center and Library to provide tutoring and other services for students with academic concerns.
- Maintains collaborative relationships with Admissions, Advising, and Department Chairs and Program Coordinators to identify and provide targeted support for students.
- Assists with website maintenance, newsletter creation, EAB campaigns, and other methods of outreaching to students as directed.
- Assist with student registration campaigns, student life events, new student orientation, career and transfer events, and various student support initiatives.
- Creates and facilitates workshops that promote student success such as study skills, trainings for zoom, CANVAS, EAB, and other programs.
- Participates in professional development activities and serves on college or CCSNH committees and teams.
- Serves on the CAREs team.
- Supports credit and non-credit programs and students as directed.
- Complies with all system, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field.
