Senior Project Manager - Accounting

About the Job

As an Senior Accounting Process Expert you will support and analyze current end-to-end processes, design and deliver automation solutions and lead their implementation as the Accounting-side project manager. In this role you will be accountable for successfully handing over the project results into daily business.

 

You will also contribute to and accelerate ongoing initiatives across the finance transformation portfolio. Profound experience communicating complex concepts to stakeholders on different levels is a must for this role.

 

What you do

• Support in running Assess AS-IS processes, design TO-BE, quantify benefits.
• Drive standardization, simplification, and control effectiveness.
• Design and implement automation solutions including SAP SAC enhancements/workflows and build robust data models and dashboards.
• Lead projects on the Accounting side: scope, plan, stakeholder alignment, and communication up to executive level.
• Coordinate with IT on implementation and testing.
• Finish projects with proper documentation and handover of project results.

 

What you bring

• 5+ years equivalent professional experience, with experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Degree in Accounting / Finance or Information Technology with Focus on Finance.
• Project management skills and customer relationship management experience
• Demonstrated AI/automation experience, intelligent document processing, GenAI use cases in Finance; SQL and/or Python preferred.
• Understanding how different parts of the business come together.
• Process and project management training and certification required, international project experience and consulting experience is desirable.
