About the Role

In this role, you will partner with our brands & corporate functions across the globe, to continuously drive value within various supply chain and transportation categories. You will establish and drive procurement category strategies designed to deliver a holistic value proposition that is aligned with business goals. Additionally, you will own the category management framework that enables strategic vendor relationships, superior collaboration with business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Value Capture - Accountable for the development and execution of procurement strategies for our Outsourced Distribution categories within our Global Transportation Network.   Responsible for achieving procurement savings (P&L, Capital and Non-P&L) targets.  

  • Category Management – Develop and support deep category strategies with the focus of category management that translates into actionable multi-year sourcing strategies.  Building and developing high-performing category management teams.

  • Build and Strengthen Strategic Relationships - successfully partner across functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Risk Management) to drive results.  SRM focused with the goal of fostering strategic supplier relationships.

  • Influence – Seamlessly communicate across various levels of the organization to build alignment and drive outcomes.  Demonstrate executive presence.

  • Transportation and Supply Chain Management – Lead and support procurement activity within the Outsourced distribution category (Transloading, Franchise 3PL, Non-standard Transportation). Lead and support strategic sourcing events & negotiations (e.g., build RFI/RFPs, sourcing analytics, business cases), as well as proactive contract pipeline management.

  • Monitor and Report - Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards.  Monitor and report on category performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Who You Are

  • 4-6 years of experience in Procurement or related field, preferred experience in category management

  • Strong background in logistics, supply chain and transportation categories preferred.

  • Sourcing Capability - experience driving long-term results through category strategies, levering in-depth market knowledge, collaborating, and influencing at all levels of a global organization.

  • Strong problem-solving & communication skills

  • Strong executive level communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of Category Management and related processes.
