Accounts Payable Clerk- Roswell Park Care Network

Roswell Park Care Network is looking to add a  Accounts Payable Clerk to our Administrative team in Williamsville, NY

Brief Descriptions of Duties:

• Review  and record invoices with proper approval travel expenses, reimbursement requests, billing statements, bank records and other documents
• Processing payments to vendors including  mailing the checks and processing the ACHs 
• Charge expense to the appropriate account and   cost centers by reviewing invoices and expense reports and recording entries
• Ordering supplies and creating purchase orders
•  ensure proper preparation, retention, and organization of records of organization’s financial transactions and activities  such as W-9s 
• Assist in audits by gathering documents 
• Apply credit memos to outstanding invoices as appropriate
• Communicate with the company’s Managers and  staff of the organization as well as vendors to make sure that bills are   appropriate and paid timely
• Inputting new vendors and processing patient refunds
• Reviewing credit card statements and inputting  credit card charges with appropriate documentation and approval
• Inputting daily bank deposits
• Opening mail and sorting to the proper department or staff
• Ensure compliance with all internal controls
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
• Review and communicate with the company’s   procurement department for purchasing needs of the organization
• Completes any additional assignments and projects as requested by management. 

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of accounting or equivalent experience required
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks required
