South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is seeking a full-time Clinical Nursing Manager to lead our Emergency and Specialty Services teams in Asheville, NC. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician with a passion for mentorship, team development, operational excellence, and advancing high-quality specialty and emergency patient care. As Clinical Nursing Manager, you'll work closely with hospital leadership to support clinical operations while helping Veterinary Technicians and assistants grow professionally in a collaborative, state-of-the-art specialty hospital.
Compensation
$80,000–$85,000 annually based on experience
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus or Relocation Bonus available for qualified candidates

Responsibilities
Leadership & Clinical Operations
Lead the daily operations of the Emergency and Specialty clinical teams while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.
Partner with the Hospital Director and Medical Director to establish clinical goals, improve workflows, and support hospital initiatives.
Serve as a resource and mentor for Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and clinical leadership.
Promote a collaborative, positive culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Training & Professional Development
Develop and implement onboarding, training, and competency programs for clinical team members.
Create service-specific training plans and provide regular progress updates to hospital leadership.
Coordinate training sessions, educational materials, attendance records, and continuing education opportunities.
Conduct regular meetings focused on performance, employee development, morale, wellness, and professional growth.
Ensure all clinical team members receive the training and support needed to succeed in their roles.
Staff Leadership
Establish clear expectations and provide coaching, performance feedback, and accountability for clinical staff.
Collaborate with supervisors and department leaders to address staffing needs, workflow challenges, and operational priorities.
Support employee engagement, retention, and career development while modeling Ethos Veterinary Health's core values.
Student & Externship Program
Administer the Veterinary Student and Veterinary Technician externship program.
Serve as the primary contact for students and educational partners.
Coordinate schedules, department rotations, onboarding, and required documentation to ensure a successful externship experience.
