This role requires a strategic outbound sales professional who thinks multiple steps ahead and confidently guides opportunities to successful outcomes.
This position is responsible for identifying new and reactivating dormant banking and credit union clients within the $500 million to $3 billion asset segment. Operating in a multi-state territory, the Director will develop relationships, generate and qualify leads, and represent Cornerstone across the financial services industry. Success in this role requires strong industry connections, curiosity, adaptability, and a high-performance mindset—all while collaborating with a team of “crazy smart” colleagues.

Essential Functions

Manage outbound business development across a multi-state region

Cultivate relationships with bank and credit union executives

Identify, qualify, and nurture new client opportunities

Reactivate and re-engage past client relationships

Represent Cornerstone at industry conferences and small group events

Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with solutions

Provide input on contract negotiation strategies

Maintain confidentiality and protect Cornerstone’s intellectual property
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities

Proven ability to independently plan, execute, and deliver results

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience interfacing with executive-level banking professionals

Deep knowledge of the banking technology contract landscape (core, digital, payments, etc.)

Strong existing relationships within the banking industry

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

7+ years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in banking or consulting roles
