<p>Join the RWE Renewables team as a Senior Civil Engineer to drive our onshore wind and PV projects in Germany and help us shape the future of renewable energy.<br/>
The Project Engineering Germany department provides technical support and technical expertise in the development, construction and operation of our wind farms in the fields of Resource Assessment, Site Suitability, Civil and Electrical Engineering.</p>

Your tasks<br/>
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be the contact person for our project developers, construction teams and operations teams for all construction topics from the early development phase through to service life extensions during operation.</p>
<ul>
<li>Evaluation and development of transport concepts for wind turbines and a preliminary wind farm layout.</li>
<li>Responsible for the assessment of geological conditions, tendering and evaluation of ground and foundation reports.</li>
<li>Development of the wind farm layout, in particular the construction roads and crane parking areas, for the design and approval planning, taking into account the geological conditions encountered, planning law requirements and the availability of space.</li>
<li>Participation in site inspections and construction site visits to coordinate with internal specialist disciplines of other departments and external project partners with regard to construction and planning-related issues</li>
<li>Coordination of all planning-relevant topics with the wind turbine manufacturer</li>
<li>Preparation and participation in the awarding of planning and construction services, in particular earthworks and, if necessary, special civil engineering works, evaluation of special proposals and change proposals.</li>
<li>Accompanying construction supervision, control inspections and acceptance tests, including independent identification and assessment of deviations and defects.</li>
<li>Supporting the project management in the evaluation of supplements</li>
<li>Management and implementation of special projects in operations, e.g. remodelling measures or continued operation.</li>
<li>Support in the assessment of defects and warranty claims as well as maintenance measures and repairs.</li>

<p>Your activities will be carried out in close coordination with our project developers, our construction teams and our operations teams as well as with your direct colleagues from other departments.<br/>
Some of the above activities will be carried out under your leadership by external engineering firms and experts.</p>

<p>Your profile</p>
<ul>
<li>Successfully completed university degree in civil engineering</li>
<li>Several years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering and above-average expertise in the planning and tendering of wind farms or other infrastructure projects.</li>
<li>Experience in the tendering of engineering services and in the management of external engineering offices and consultants.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge in the application of relevant technical standards and guidelines, especially in the fields of earthworks, geotechnics and reinforced concrete construction.</li>
<li>Good knowledge in the use of AutoCAD, Infraworks or comparable planning software.</li>
<li>Good knowledge of VOB and HOAI.</li>
<li>Project management skills and ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks independently.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a team and interest in interdisciplinary tasks, combined with the ability to build sustainable working relationships in project teams across regions and functions.</li>
<li>Business fluent in German and good knowledge of English.</li>
<li>Valid driving licence and willingness to travel on business, usually for one day.</li>
</ul>
