<p>As a Senior Accountant, you will proactively deliver accurate, relevant, and timely financial information to C.H. Robinson’s various stakeholders. You will assist with the financial reporting process, perform financial analysis, and play a critical role in the preparation of monthly financial statements. This role requires effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset to overcome challenges and ensure operational excellence and adherence to best practices.</p><p>At C.H. With the flexibility for remote work one day a week, this role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy.</p><p> If this sounds like you - and we have captured your attention - apply today as we would like to hear more about you and your experiences!</p><p></p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b> </p><p>The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: </p><ul><li>Provides coaching and support to less experienced team members </li><li>Understands and is able to apply accounting principles and policies and stays up to date with changes </li><li>Prepares and reviews account reconciliations in month end closing process </li><li>Prepares complex journal entries for the monthly financial statement close </li><li>Analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis and report on variances </li><li>Proactively seeks additional responsibilities as existing workload is optimized and automated away </li><li>Supports, documents, monitors, and executes internal control </li><li>Assists with external audit requests </li><li>Coordinates accounting matters with other departments </li><li>Initiates, organizes, and leads team meetings, working sessions, and project-based check-ins </li><li>Responds to escalated and complex queries from various stakeholders, and advises on solutions </li><li>Prepares reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents that project the organization's financial position </li><li>Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly financial statement close schedule </li><li>Analyzes accounting procedures, processes, and tasks, recommending and executing improvements with the aim of reducing redundancy, building efficiency, and increasing productivity, while ensuring compliance with company financial policies </li><li>Assists with completion of quarterly and annual regulatory filings </li><li>Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements </li></ul><p></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b> </p><p>Required: </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university </li><li>Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs </li><li>Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal) </li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred: </p><ul><li>Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions </li><li>Experience with MS Access and SQL </li><li>Experience with business process optimization in an accounting environment </li><li>CPA, CMA, or relevant professional certification (active or inactive, from any jurisdiction) </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information <span>confidential </span></li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills </li><li>Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives while taking accountability for work product </li><li>Ability to work within a team and liaise well across departments and functions </li><li>Values a diverse and inclusive work <span>environment </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>WHAT WE OFFER?</b></p><ul><li>Real opportunities to grow your talent in a fast-moving, global organization</li><li>A fun, open, and inclusive workplace that encourages innovative thinking</li><li>Possibility to develop your language skills in our multilingual offices</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth with access to training platforms</li><li>Comprehensive benefits: competitive salary and performance-based bonuses, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) after one year of employment</li><li>Flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span>Questioning if you meet the mark?
