Senior Project Leader

Orkla House Care is 100% owned by Orkla ASA. Orkla House Care is the leading provider of brushes, rollers and other painting tools. Including relevant consumables such as sanding, tape, protection gear and cleaning equipment. The main markets are the Nordic countries, Benelux and the UK. The main proprietary brands are Jordan, Harris, Anza, Spekter, SAM and Hamilton. Sales are mainly through traditional paint shops and trade merchants. The business has around 750 employees and the total business has a turnover of approximately 1,5 billion Norwegian kroner. Most of the products are self-produced and distributed through Bankeryd in Sweden, and Bromsgrove in the UK. The head office is at Skøyen in Oslo.

 

Sr. Project leader - Product Innovation – based in Oslo

Our Product and Innovation team is responsible for our Product portfolio and Product Roadmaps, Product Development and R&D across all OHC markets. Members of our team are presently working from either our UK site in Bromsgrove, our Swedish site in Bankeryd or at our head office at Skøyen in Oslo. We are a positive team working together to achieve our goals. We are looking for someone who is motivated to develop and improve how we work with running projects within our area of responsibility. Both handling complex innovation projects yourself and remotely leading a small team of project leaders who will handle tactical product and improvement projects.

As a Sr. Project leader at OHC, you will help us to reach our shared goals, through contributing with successful project leadership, aiming to optimize our product offering, ensure that Orkla House Care continues to meet the needs of our end-users and customers, whilst simultaneously maximizing profitability and minimizing complexity.

 

Key tasks

• Be the project leader for cross functional strategic innovation projects, responsible for overall time scheduling and delivering within budget
• Remotely lead a new team of project leaders, that will be based in Sweden and UK
• Take ownership for the OHC toolbox and way-of-working for all relevant projects within our Product & Innovation team
• Engage with a broad range of stakeholders across our markets and value chain to ensure that our projects are running as planned and that individuals roles within our projects are understood
• Present and contribute to the OHC Innovation Board and other relevant decision-making forums

 

We are looking for candidates with the following background and skill

• You are a natural leader and used to working with and through others to achieve great results. 
• You have project leadership experience and enjoy overcoming obstacles, identifying solutions and delivering on time, in full.
• You have a professional degree in a relevant subject/field e.g. in Business or Marketing
• You have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to influence and integrate the opinions of stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English as this is our primary working language and preferably fluent in a Nordic language
• Previous experience with remote leadership is an advantage
