The Role
The Head of Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud is a role reporting to the Director of Global IT Operations in the IT division. You will lead the management of our IT infrastructure across multiple sites and regions, ensuring the seamless operation, security, and scalability of all IT systems, networks, and cloud services. You will manage a team of IT professionals, collaborate with internal departments, and partner with external vendors to ensure that the infrastructure supports the business's evolving needs and strategic goals.

Key accountabilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Shape the strategic roadmap for Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud projects aligned with our goals.
- Manage our multi-site infrastructure across regions, ensuring consistency, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead a team of network engineers, system administrators, and IT support staff.
Network & Systems Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.
- Ensure the stability, performance, and security of all IT systems, platforms, and tools.
- Implement best practices for monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading IT systems and networks.
Cloud & Data Centre Operations
- Oversee Hybrid Cloud infrastructure and ensure optimal performance and scalability, including the migration of on-premise systems to cloud-based environments where appropriate.
- Manage data centre operations, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Security & Compliance
- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security protocols, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to governance policies, addressing any compliance issues or security vulnerabilities to safeguard the integrity of our data.
- Oversee Risk Management, Vulnerability Assessments, and Major Incident response efforts.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, consultants and associated contracts to ensure the delivery of Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud solutions and services.
- Develop and control the annual budgets for the Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud team.
Project Management
- Lead infrastructure-related projects, from planning through to execution, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify infrastructure needs and design solutions that support business operations and growth.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud projects.

What you bring to the role
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or in a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role responsible for leading global teams.
- Experience managing large multi-site IT infrastructure in a global or group-level environment.
- Experience in merger, acquisition, or divestiture, including due diligence, day 1 readiness, and integration/carve-out execution.
- Technical expertise in networking, cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.), data centres, and server architecture.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in IT security, data protection, and compliance standards.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, storage management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Certifications such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSE), or equivalent is desirable.
