At S&P Global Ratings, our analyst-driven credit ratings, research, and sustainable finance opinions provide critical insights that are essential to translating complexity into clarity so market participants can uncover opportunities and make decisions with conviction. 

The Impact: 

The Head of Growth & Enablement is responsible for setting the non-Core Product strategy and roadmap for S&P Global Ratings’ product and platform portfolio.  This will include the adjacent offerings to credit ratings and/or support the internal work of creating core credit ratings. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, product, commercial, and technological execution, this leader sets multi-year growth plans, prioritizes investment across products, and drives build and go-to-market in partnership with the Technology and Commercial organization while meeting the quality, regulatory, and brand standards expected of S&P Global Ratings. The role requires business acumen, product judgment, and analytical / technical rigor, along with the credibility to influence senior leaders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Shapes the long-term direction of Ratings’ non-core product portfolio (multi-year horizon), translating Ratings’ strategy into a unified product roadmap, investment priorities, and innovation pipeline that balances commercial growth, regulatory requirements, and evolving issuer and investor needs 

  • Exercises enterprise-level influence across Ratings and partner divisions to align strategy, resolve competing priorities, drive cross-functional execution, and execute on Ratings OpCo’s mandate ensuring faster time-to-market, disciplined investment decisions, and scalable product innovation in support of the overall Ratings strategy 

  • ⁠Drives the enablement agenda for Ratings by building the product and platform ecosystem that underpins service delivery, equipping internal teams with integrated tools and workflows that improve efficiency, strengthen client outcomes, and support the long-term evolution of the Ratings operating model 

  • Run an efficient delivery process for existing, internal, and cross-divisional products, alongside a fail-fast frontier innovation process with explicit go / no-go criteria 

  • Resolve competing customer persona priorities through a unified product mandate; escalate principal trade-offs to OpCo with clear options 

  • Ensure that the product and platform strategy aligns with the broader Ratings technology roadmap; manage product interdependencies and act as the escalation point for product risks, issues, and constraints 

  • Design and execute the handover playbook that transitions mature products into ongoing operational ownership 

  • Deliver KPI and OKR dashboards, portfolio investment recommendations, and quarterly readouts to OpCo on speed, customer adoption, portfolio health, and regulatory posture 

Location: New York (USA) or London (UK)

Compensation/Benefits Information:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $450,000 depending on location, experience, and skills. This role is eligible for an annual cash incentive plan, long-term incentive plan, and additional S&P Global benefits. Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge: 

  • An S&P Global employee at this level typically has 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management within financial services, information services, or related industries 

  • Direct experience leading a multi-product portfolio, translating customer insights into a roadmap and portfolio prioritization decisions 

  • Expertise in building a scalable product operating model, establishing frameworks, processes, metrics, governance, and organizational capabilities required in a complex, regulated environment 

  • Strategic and business judgment with a track record of scaling new or adjacent product lines 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making 

  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence without authority senior analytical, commercial, technology, and control-function leaders 

  • Proven ability of anticipating evolving stakeholder needs and adapting relationship-building approaches accordingly.  

  • Possesses emotional intelligence and empathy, and leverages them effectively in all interactions thereby fostering long-term trust
