The City of Peoria's Public Works Department seeks a day shift Facilities Operations Technician for their Facilities Division. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment. Responsibilities include performing general and preventative maintenance on large and small chillers, refrigeration systems, evaporative coolers, and electrical/mechanical controls across all City buildings.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Two-year college program or equivalent combinations resulting in accumulation of similar knowledge or skills.

Experience:

• 4-6 years’ experience in the same or similar position

Physical Demands:

• Work requires moderate physical exertion.
• Participation in On-Call duty rotation

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Arizona Class “D” Driver’s license upon hire
• EPA Universal Certification upon hire
• Limited Police Department Background Check

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Experience using a CMMS for work orders and preventative maintenance
• 10+ Years HVAC experience including central plant operation
• Government/Municipal Experience
