Job Summary:

The Line Management Senior Consultant provides support necessary for line management leaders with achieving profit and growth targets for a line(s) of business on a line management team. This position will have numerous opportunities to influence other departments both in and out of product to present relevant data and facts to make recommendations on initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage/perform unique work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes or channels and navigate obstacles to deliver the work product
Uses experience, innovation, and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information
Utilize a breadth of knowledge to identify and frame issues and implications on operational parameters to get new products/projects implemented 
Actively participate in coordinated efforts across the organization to facilitate the implementation of initiatives
Provide foundational analysis or business expertise that provides input into business cases or result evaluations
Conduct on-going and/or post-implementation measures to assure proper execution of process and practices that support the line
Compiles, cleans, organizes and analyzes complex data to understand business results
Establishes, modifies, documents and communicates standards of practice around data retrieval, data manipulation, data quality, data reporting and data analytics
Makes the business insights derived from data and analytics accessible to those without technical skills
Provides technical expertise
Monitors and evaluates business initiatives against key performance indicators and communicates results and recommendations to management
Communicates and presents project information to team and provides presentations/updates to management
Influences strategy through data and analytics
Performs and evaluates simple to complex trend analysis (e.g. competitor analysis, risk management, financial)
 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

Functional Skills:

Functional Skills Required:

Working knowledge of SQL
Advanced product, price, underwriting and insurance regulation knowledge
Ability to understand business tactics to support changing business strategies and direction
Collaborates to implement decisions and/or initiatives in an integrated manner 
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Consistently achieves superior results
Proven ability to effectively network and communicate with different types and levels of staff, both written and verbal
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in different programming languages such as SQL and R/Python

 

Preferred Technical Skills:
Identifies and resolves simple to complex data issues
