The Design Strategy Director oversees the comprehensive brand identity, design, and packaging experience for our iconic billion-dollar brands within the assigned business unit. This leader ensures the consistent delivery of visual identity across all brands and spearheads breakthrough initiatives in brand design, packaging, and product aesthetics. By driving end-to-end design excellence, the Design Strategy Director plays a pivotal role in enhancing the consumer experience and maintaining the brand’s market-leading position.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a cohesive design vision for the assigned business unit, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and enhancing the total consumer experience.

  • Implement the design vision across all consumer touchpoints, including product development, marketing, and packaging, to ensure a consistent and engaging brand experience.

  • Oversee the transformation of packaging design from concept to execution, ensuring innovative and high-quality outcomes that elevate the brand.

  • Partner with creative and digital teams to maintain a consistent design vision across all communication touchpoints, ensuring cohesive and effective brand messaging.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with design agencies, ensuring K-C partners with best-in-class agencies to achieve superior design outcomes.

  • Oversee and mentor a team of three packaging and artwork professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high performance in delivering design excellence.

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of design experience

  • Minimum of degree level education in Graphic / Brand Design or Industrial Design

  • Clear understanding of Design end to end delivery

  • Strategic thinker, maintaining clarity of purpose with a focus on the development and implementation of actionable plans

  • Highly collaborative, building strong relationships and trust across different functions/levels. 

  • Tenacious with a Growth Mind-set to Win Consistently, working in a spirit of partnership for the best overall result for the KC Enterprise

  • Proficient in Photoshop / InDesign

  • Strong track record of Design industry experience, preferably in Consumer-Packaged Goods

  • Excellent team player with strong analytical, influencing and communication skills

  • Excellent follow up and organizational skills
