Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking to add a new member to our UX Design & Experimentation team, as we develop and release our new platform. Our ideal candidate has a background in usability research, as well as proficiency in UI design. The candidate will support our team as we continue to expand and release additional platform features. They should demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams across the organization, including Product and Engineering, and feel comfortable championing research-based design decisions. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for juggling multiple projects simultaneously. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to be a creative contributor to the look, feel and usability of multiple applications.

What You Will Do:

70% Research

  • Develop a year-round testing calendar for the UX Design & Experimentation team to spearhead
  • Assist with the set-up and roll-out of internal and external tests aimed at uncovering product improvements, including outlining test plans, goals, hypotheses, parameters and success metrics
  • Own the cadence of regularly scheduled meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to gather new test requests, inform them on future test plans and prioritize the testing roadmap/calendar
  • Analyze test results to uncover performance data, recommendations and next steps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to view test data from different POVs across the organization
  • Create and present test decks to exec leadership and additional relevant stakeholders
  • Be the POC for all incoming test requests and for all current tests to proactively ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed and kept up-to-date on test activity

30% Design

  • Create designs that are consistent with the rest of the platform by leveraging existing patterns and components
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, data analysts and sales to translate written business requirements into original visual designs and an intuitive user experience that addresses user needs
  • Create mockups, storyboards and user journeys to communicate design ideas to other team members and stakeholders
  • Maintain our internal library and design system to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across the platform, as well as optimum usability and simplicity
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of UX/UI guidelines and best practices
  • Perform visual QA in a development environment and pass along changes to engineers to minimize design debt in our releases

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a UX or related role designing consumer focused web and mobile products
  • Online portfolio showcasing past work and a strong, clean and simple visual design sense
  • Proficiency with current UI/UX platforms, such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD
  • Proficiency with current usability testing platforms, such as Maze, Useberry, User Testing and User Brain
  • A degree in a related field, such as UX Design, Industrial Design, Interactive Design, User Research or Human Factors is preferred
  • Experience running research studies or using research to support design decisions
  • Familiarity with complex interfaces and data intensive applications
  • Experience working on/with agile teams to deliver value in digital products
  • Mature, independent and able to work effectively with minimal supervision while managing hard deadlines
  • Proven success in evaluating quantitative and qualitative data to provide insight into user’s needs and behaviors
  • Dynamic, flexible and able to respond well to changing priorities from different sources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail
