Integration Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Labcorp, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product, and business stakeholders, to develop innovative software solutions for the healthcare industry. Your role will involve converting business requirements into technical designs, developing high-quality code, and ensuring software solutions meet both functional and technical expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal IT, product, and business teams to gather and analyze software requirements.

• Utilize design activities, tools, and techniques to transform business needs and logical models into technical software designs and code.

• Design, develop, test, and debug software solutions while maintaining high coding standards.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure programming quality, adhering to coding standards, peer reviews, and automated tools.

• Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 0-2 years of experience in a software development role within a professional business environment.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with development frameworks (e.g., Angular, Spring).

• Front-End Development: Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, Sass/CSS, JavaScript, and Material Design or Bootstrap.

• Familiarity with Cloud development environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).

• Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

• Strong understanding of software design principles, including Object-Oriented Analysis & Design.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

• Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, VS Code, Git, Gradle, Sonar, Jenkins, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL and RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.

Work Environment

• This role requires working on a computer for 6-8 hours per day.

• Must be able to follow detailed directions in a corporate setting.
