Integration Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Labcorp, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product, and business stakeholders, to develop innovative software solutions for the healthcare industry. Your role will involve converting business requirements into technical designs, developing high-quality code, and ensuring software solutions meet both functional and technical expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal IT, product, and business teams to gather and analyze software requirements.
Utilize design activities, tools, and techniques to transform business needs and logical models into technical software designs and code.
Design, develop, test, and debug software solutions while maintaining high coding standards.
Conduct code reviews to ensure programming quality, adhering to coding standards, peer reviews, and automated tools.
Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in a software development role within a professional business environment.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
Hands-on experience with development frameworks (e.g., Angular, Spring).
Front-End Development: Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, Sass/CSS, JavaScript, and Material Design or Bootstrap.
Familiarity with Cloud development environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Strong understanding of software design principles, including Object-Oriented Analysis & Design.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, VS Code, Git, Gradle, Sonar, Jenkins, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SQL and RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
Work Environment
This role requires working on a computer for 6-8 hours per day.
Must be able to follow detailed directions in a corporate setting.
