Gainesville Regional Utilities, the most comprehensive utility service provider in Florida, is seeking an HRIS Systems Analyst to assist with the implementation of their new HRIS system and to ultimately provide day-to-day support of the system. You will play a critical role in the implementation, management and maintenance of the system, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security with a focus on employee and manager self-service. During implementation you will collaborate with partners to gather requirements, test solutions, develop reports and support end-users. After implementation you will provide day-to-day support to all stakeholders, implement HRIS enhancements, upgrades and partner integrations.This is professional and technically highly complex and supervisory work analyzing, designing, implementing, maintaining and managing departmental automated/computerized systems. Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class is distinguished by its general supervisory responsibility and by its advanced technical skill and emphasis on complex automated/computerized systems.
The focus of this role will be on the implementation of an HRIS, and preference will be given to applicants that have background in HR and experience with conversion and implementation of full HRIS platforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Depending on area of assignment:
Manages and coordinates departmental automated/computerized systems projects.
Supervises departmental Technical Systems Analysts in the development and implementation of departmental computer applications that address specific departmental business processes.
Coordinates and oversees the administration of departmental automated/computerized systems including systems management, network interfaces, and the installation and removal of software products.
Coordinates and conducts detailed analysis of complex systems and departmental applications such as SCADA, Outage Management, EMS, and Geographic Information Systems, computer aided dispatch systems and work management and tracking systems.
Manages use of departmental software applications, including system generation, compilers, link editors, assemblers, and other vendor supplied systems software packages.
Coordinates and ensures advanced levels of security by loading application- and operating-specific patches, certificates, and implementing network security methodologies.
Evaluates hardware/software needs and training/documentation, and reviews, evaluates and recommends emerging technologies, state-of-the-art languages, tool sets and advanced technologies.
Manages, plans, schedules, and implements modifications to operating system and equipment.
Performs as the department’s computer systems expert.
Prepares specifications, codes, test data and debugs highly complex systems using advanced programming languages and development techniques for use internally and externally.
