The Role
ICON is seeking Director of Project Management RWE (Real-World Evidence Late Phase. An experienced professional with demonstrated People management and Project leadership expertise in actively driving teams to successful project delivery, leading operational study teams responsible for key strategic clients. Key responsibilities
Provide leadership to effectively coordinate and manage the activities of one or more large cross functional multinational studies and project teams in a manner that ensures all timelines and delivery targets are met and that costs kept under control.

Create a culture of process Improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes.
Act as the key client contact tor designated projects and develop successful working relationships with clients to help secure repeat business.
Develop and deliver full-service project plans for clinical trials and subsequently lead cross functional study teams in accordance with contractual timelines, client specifications and Good Clinical Practices (GCP's).
Effectively manage assigned staff to ensure high performance, continuous development and low turnover (<15%).
Demonstrate understanding of drug development including planning and delivery for a product (drug asset) through multiple phases of development.
Ensure all necessary training is provided to assigned staff to improve their job performance and knowledge.
Identify risks to critical path for drug development and define ways to mitigate issues.
Lead succession planning and development of study/program key staff.
Provide expert project management and clinical input into new business proposals and bid defense.
Provide coaching/mentoring to Project Managers and Clinical Trial Managers and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel (approximately 20%) domestic and international.
You will need
Significant relevant experience within a CRO or Pharmaceutical environment including:
Leadership experience at the Director level, running large, complex matrix teams across geographies.
Project management- experience running complex studies.
Technical skills in RWE/Late phase- desirable.
Business development.
Education: minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred).
