Pay Rate: Standard CBWS Hourly Rate ($15/hr). This position is subject to an annual wage increase.
IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award re-determinations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state/federal work award come Fall 2025. Description of the Position:
The Shop & Marketing Associate position welcomes guests to the Guild and is responsible for supporting the operations of the Guild’s gift shop and galleries. The gif shop shares the work of and supports over 50 local artists each year. The Associate also helps in developing and implementing outreach and promotional campaigns to boost awareness and attendance for a broad slate of arts events spanning visual arts, theater, music, and arts education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly serve as point of sale receptionist in the Guild gift shop
- Processing sales transactions of merchandise, tickets, and class registrations
- Packaging merchandise to customer’s specifications
- Assisting customers with questions
- Tracking attendance in gift shop and gallery
- Answer Guild phones and direct calls or take messages
- Review and analyze the Guild existing social media plan and campaigns on Facebook and Instagram
- Make thoughtful recommendations for effective revisions to the social media plan that aims to increase the effectiveness of our use of each platform
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
- Manage and track event postings on Facebook; Take over Instagram/Arrange for takeovers during agreed upon times
- Track social media analytics/insights to identify high performing ideas and campaigns
- Other duties as determines or assigned
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with the major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube
- Knowledge of social media analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organization and time management skills
