Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The Human Services Program Assistant will provide essential support to CAC by assisting with administrative, outreach, and programmatic tasks. This position is ideal for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in social services, community engagement, and nonprofit work. As a student work-study assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various human services programs and services that support individuals in Rice County. This position is for the 2026-27 academic year, with a September 2026 start date.

- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Learn about community resources and the workings of human services programs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help with executing community mailings
- Assist with seasonal programs and projects as needed
- Assist with data entry, documentation, and file management
- Help coordinate program activities, events, and community
- outreach efforts
- Help maintain and update program databases and spreadsheets
- Provide support for any additional tasks or projects as needed
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Reliable
- Interest in social services, human services, or related fields
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
