Overview:

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is currently seeking a full-time General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position primarily works a day (1st) shift, with rotating evenings and weekends.

Hours

• Promary Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, along with rotating evenings and weekends

• Evening Rotation: 3pm - 11:30pm

• Weekend Rotation: 7am - 3:30pm

• Pleaes Note: Weather events and emergencies may impact schedule

Overview

The General Maintenance Mechanic will perform general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting HVAC, transportation systems, mechanical electrical, plumbing and other items. 

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)  

Certification/Licensure

• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (Required)

• Refrigerant Recovery certification (Type I, Type II or Universal) (Preferred, not required)

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of facility maintenance or skilled trades experience (Required)

• Experience in drywall, painting, or other trades is a plus (Preferred, not required)
