Legacy Transportation Services is seeking a qualified HR Generalist for a local position in Sparks, NV

Skills required:

• Provides administrative support to HR functions, including workers compensation, leaves of absence, training, employee discipline, employee reviews, new hire orientation, employee relations, employee absences, affirmative action, events and employee records.

• Maintains employment/training records and compiles statistics for various HR management reports.

• Assists the HR Department with Exit Interviews, research, special projects and auditing.

• Supports recruiting with completing background checks, reference checking and EEOC documentation.

• Ensures new employee documentation is thoroughly completed and processed timely.

• Responds to routine questions on HR policy and serves as a point of contact for new employee questions.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office using online meeting resources such as Zoom, Teams, Google Meetings and adept at learning HR/Training Systems.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

• Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, HR staff, managers and group presentations/meetings.

• Organized, accurate, thorough and able to plan work activities to use time effectively.

• Skilled in problem solving, identifying issues in a timely manner
