THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

An engineer in the Marketplace Connections department, along with their colleagues, builds and maintains the vital technical links between core systems and online marketplaces. The team ensures seamless data flow and manages the complex technical aspects of marketplace integration, enabling brands to focus on sales and thrive in the platform economy.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to transform requirements into feasible solutions

• Explore multiple solutions, document the advantages and disadvantages of each, and gather feedback from colleagues

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize solutions through hands-on coding

• Work with teammates to maintain a high-quality codebase

• Introduce new tools, technologies, and approaches to enhance the product

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have 7+ years experience.

• Relevant backend Python-based systems development experience, with frameworks like Django, Flask or FastAPI is a plus

• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda

• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure

• Proficiency in setting up and configuring AWS services, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Ability to compose back-end components to create a scalable and resilient system

• Highly desirable soft skills include communication, collaboration, presentation abilities, and a strong desire to make a significant impact.
