KenzFigee is a well-established lifting, handling, and service specialist of high-end cranes and equipment for the marine, offshore and wind energy industry. Our focus is on innovative solutions that push the boundaries of electrical engineering in the (wind) crane industry. From engineering to service and maintenance: we keep the entire process in our own hands. We are an internationally oriented company; our customers can be found all over the world.

Our people form the core of our success. With a team of around hundred professionals, we operate from our office and workshop in Zaandam and since 2019 from the UK regional office in Aberdeen. This offers the opportunity to experience the entire process up close, from designing to building the cranes and equipment, which ensures an ultimate collaboration between all departments. Job Description

What does the role entail?

As a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer at KenzFigee, you are an integral part of the Tech-Team and play a crucial role in shaping the technical future of our company.

You are responsible for leading complex technical projects and defining the technical strategy within your field. You work closely with our engineering team to develop advanced, efficient, and reliable solutions for our equipment.

What does the team look like?

The Tech-Team is a team of specialists within KenzFigee who ensure and elevate the technical level across different disciplines. Tasks include quality assurance, knowledge development, product development, and advising during proposal processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Vision and Strategy: Develop innovative technical strategies that align with business goals, and ensure the implementation of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Systems Architecture: Design and validate complex systems and architectures, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • R&D Initiatives: Promote research and development to discover and apply new technologies and methods in our products.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Project Advice: Provide substantive support to multidisciplinary teams in designing, developing, and implementing complex technical projects from concept to delivery.
  • Mentorship: Guide and develop technical talents within the team, focusing on knowledge transfer and best practices.
  • Technical Documentation: Ensure detailed technical documentation and compliance with international standards and norms.

Qualifications

What do we ask for?

  • You have completed a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 8 years of relevant experience, along with extensive knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical drive systems, power electronics, and advanced control techniques.
  • You are familiar with software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, EPLAN, and SCADA systems, as well as programming skills in languages like Python, C++, or similar.
  • You have strong analytical skills and experience with innovative problem-solving techniques in high-tech environments. You have excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in guiding and motivating technical teams.
