The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Director of Finance to primarily provide leadership and direction to the local finance operations team and work in close collaboration with senior management at ISO Claims Partners, as well as Verisk Analytics’ Corporate Finance group. Your Day-to-Day:

  • Responsible for the month-end close
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information requests
  • Oversee the approval and processing of billing, and subsequent collections, as well as expense processing
  • Prepare reports for Claims Partners’ Senior Management team to monitor expenses (travel/salary/etc.) to ensure operations within budget
  • Participate in annual budgeting, strategic 5-year plan, and quarterly forecasting  in coordination with Senior Management and Corporate Finance
  • Ensure SOX compliance; become the point person for the organization.
  • Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Recruit, develop, manage, and retain an efficient team; work in close collaboration with corporate Finance team members
  • Project owner for billing and billing system enhancements as needed
  • Responsible for new product pricing models
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

What you bring to the team:

  • 3-5 years experience of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Strong financial analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong desire to learn the operations in order to make informed financial recommendations and   decisions

Skills and experiences that will set you apart:

  • Certified Public Accountant preferred
  • Operational background and modeling skills preferred
