14The Team: The Enterprise Finance & Strategy team is about 1,200 in size, including corporate and divisional teams. You will be reporting to the CFO and working with his SVP’s and Divisional CFOs.
The Impact: You love helping to tell a story and contributing towards our CFO’s ability to meet with the right people and prioritize and plan his activity to not only strengthen his brand but ensure his time will be spent to move the organization and the finance and strategy function forward.

Responsibilities:
- Plan Internal/External meetings to meet specific objectives, eg. Engagement, Client Networking, Board Prep
- Identify priorities within the agenda (e.g. external clients, investment banks, roundtables, 1:1's, town halls)
- Work with the internal partners or external outreach
- Work closely with CFO EA on the details, as appropriate
- Coordinate across partners to ensure all pre-materials created and prepared in advance and in high-quality, valuable format.
- Communications
- In partnership with Corporate Communications, prioritize high impact internal and external speaking invitations and engagements aligned with the CFO, Finance’s and S&P Global’s strategic goals. Make firm strategic recommendations to the CFO and be clear on what’s important and why – what will the engagement support or lead to or what will it enhance.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to establish and align on an internal/people-focused Communications program for the CFO (i.e. videos, podcasts, postings, quarterly town halls, S&P 200, ELT office visits, etc.) to strengthen connections between him and the rest of the organization. Assist to enhance his brand.
- Manage the operations for key meetings – ELT, Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Board
- Manage the schedule for all Finance/Strategy presentations to ELT
- “Project manage” material review and submissions and manage a calendar (creating due dates, interim socialization milestones, etc)
- Partner with CFO EA on ensuring all materials are submitted by the due dates
- FLT meetings and offsites
- Manage FLT agenda, especially looking forward and pre-planning
- Coordinate report outs / updates on key Finance Projects, Strategy initiatives, and critical finance technology or change projects. Ensures timelines, objectives, and deliverables are clear and addressed
- Partner with CFO EA on ensuring all materials are submitted and shared in advance of the FLT
- Partner with various leads to ensure the right people are presenting the material with the appropriate detail
- Manage offsites including agendas (content, meals, “events”) partnering with Ericka and Executive Events team
- Manage FLT agenda, especially looking forward and pre-planning
- Key Projects
- Coordinate and orchestrate committed projects
- Manage a master calendar of all ELT/FLT/Finance Committee Keep track of the leaders and keep up to speed on the socialization plan (e.g. when projects will present to ELT, FLT, etc)
- Act as CFO Project Manager for Finance Reengineering Program
- Calendar:
- Chief of Staff plays a crucial role in strategic planning and high-level project management, but it is important to emphasize that they will not be responsible for managing the day-to-day calendar. This responsibility will lie solely with the Executive Assistant. The EA will handle all scheduling, including the coordination of meetings and appointments.
- Any adjustments or new meetings requests should be directed to the Executive Assistant, who will manage the calendar and ensure all commitments are met without conflict.

- Identify local contacts, coordinate visits, organize town halls, partner with People team to identify top talent for meetings and/or roundtables, coordinate and prepare briefings, accompany CFO on major travel, as appropriate

- Organize and track CFO scorecard and CFO direct reports goals
- Codify goals and development plans for direct report
- Track progress and draft mid-year and year-end reviews
- Work with People team to ensure development of potential successors

- Must have a strong understanding of the CFO’s critical role as a senior leader/executive officer at S&P
