As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to support a sense of security, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Job Schedule:
DayTimeMon10:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWhat You’ll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences during patrols.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Follow all company and site-specific protocols for handling weapons and maintaining armed status while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
