Onsite Lead Technician - Inventory Services

The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the manager and supervisor of site services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Hourly Rate: $25.00
Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Shift: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 6 am–6 pm

What we’re looking for:
Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience: 2 years prior work experience, experience in material handling, inventory management, customer service or logistics is highly desirable.
Collaboration Tool: Utilize technology and proprietary software/hardware to perform the role, intermediate to advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems as required.
Self-manage and self-motivate, forward thinker.
Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills, displays a professional can-do attitude.
Previous experience leading and/or working in a team environment.
Knowledge of supported scientific products and services is a plus.
Position requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying items.
Able to lift 30–50 lbs.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
Coordinates and leads day to day team efforts and performs work as documented in Avantor SOW.
Coaches and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet stated goals and objectives. Encourages, through mentoring, individual and team professional growth.
Management of open order status reports, metrics and department reports, and SOP/SOW maintenance.
Provides training and development as well as back-up to associates to perform required tasks.
Complete administrative duties as required.
Creates and maintains: SOP’s, SOW’s, SPI’s and KPI’s.
Provides customer reporting and data analysis.
Acts as a liaison between customer as well as Avantor Services and Sales.
Accomplish goals and objectives for safety, quality, accuracy and performance.
Meet all scheduling requirements of the role, including performing any other duties/tasks assigned.
Perform job duties with the highest regard for safety and quality, and adherence to documented Avantor Scope of Work (SOW) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
Customer facility is climate controlled and a clean-room environment, wearing of required full-body PPE (garments) while in production areas which would be a coverall, boots, hoods and any other area specific garments as required. Eye protection may be needed as well in certain areas and performing specific tasks.
